Using our Pure Birth philosophy, the classes are divided up into several sessions to provide an extensive look at our current belief systems and how they impact birth along with identifying healthy ways to prepare ourselves for birth using wisdom from meditation and yoga. Pure Birth class formats generally follow the outline below, with some possible adjustments from class to class depending on the size of the class, instructor and other variables. Each class contains discussion topics, a guided meditation, a prenatal yoga pose, homework and a correlating birth story to read. Many classes include hands-on activities to enhance experiential learning such as a Fear Releasing Exercise or a Labor Practice Game.
